Elysium's chat interface integrates conversations from various different chat channels.

When a player first logs into Elysium, the default channel they will be talking in shall be Local chat. To change this, the player will need to use "/ch" followed by the denominate letter which represents the channel they wish to talk in.

Standard Chat Channels:Edit

Channel Denominate Functionality
Local (aka. in-character) /L Talk or act in-character.

Range: 50 blocks

Out of character /ooc Talk out of character, not applicable to RP.

Range: 50 blocks

Whisper /wh Talk quietly or just with the people nearby.

Range: 5 blocks

Global /g Talk to all players online. Restricted to one use per minute. Used for setting up trades/RP's.

Channel Denominate Functionality
Discussion /d An opt-in only social discussion for all players online who have chosen to opt-in.
Party /pc Talking to the other players within your McMMO party. Rules/regulation of these chats is the responcibility of the Party-owner.
Town /tc

Talking to the other players within your town.

Rules/regulation of these chats is the responcibility of the Mayor.

Nation /nc

Talking to the other players within your Nation.

Rules/regulation of these chats is the responcibility of the Nation-emporer.

Private Chat Functions:Edit

Channel Denominate Functionality
Private Message /msg <playername>

Send a private mesage to a single player.

Use '/r' for quick replies.

Help OP /helpop Contact online staff. This chat is only viewable by the staff who are currently online.



Filtering In or Out of a Chat ChannelEdit

By default, all players are subscribed to view messages from every chat channel except for the Discussion Chat. To start viewing conversations in the discussion chat, plyers must opt-in by using "/join d".

A player may later choose to opt-out by using "leave d".
